Confessions – The Sacrament of Reconciliation

Time : Tuesday at 10am, Saturdays at 10.30am & 5.45pm or on request after any Mass

The Sacrament of Confession is a beautiful gift of God’s mercy, inviting us to return to Him with a contrite heart. At Our Lady of Lourdes, Queen of Peace Parish, we believe that reconciliation brings healing, renewal, and peace to the soul. Each confession is a personal encounter with Christ, where His forgiveness restores us to grace and strengthens our relationship with Him.

The parish offers opportunities for confession on Tuesday mornings, Saturday mornings, and Saturday evenings, as well as by request after any Mass. In the quiet of the confessional, sins are forgiven, burdens are lifted, and hearts are renewed in God’s love.

Confession is not only about saying sorry but also about receiving grace to live a life closer to Christ. It helps us to grow in humility, holiness, and virtue, preparing us to receive the Eucharist with pure hearts.

No matter how long it has been since your last confession, you are always welcome. The Lord is waiting to embrace you with compassion, to heal what is wounded, and to strengthen what is weak. Our priests are here to guide you through the sacrament gently and with care, ensuring that every penitent feels welcomed and reassured.

Through this sacrament, we are reminded of Christ’s promise: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Confession is truly a celebration of God’s infinite mercy and a step forward on the journey to holiness.
